ARS Gene: EARS2

Daphne Magee was diagnosed at one years old with an ultra-rare form of Mitochondrial Disease caused by EARS2 gene mutation. Her type of disease, Leukoencephalopathy with Thalamus and Brainstem Involvement with High Lactate (LTBL) is a rare potentially terminal brain disease, but also can affect other parts of her body.

Aubrie Rowland was diagnosed at 2.5 years old with an ultra-rare form of Mitochondrial Disease caused by AARS2 gene mutation. Her type of disease, Leukoencephalopathy with Ovarian Failure (LKENP) is a rare potentially terminal brain disease, but also can affect other parts of her body.
